The 成人抖阴 has once again been featured among the top universities in the world in the , published today [12 March 2025].
The University is ranked in 28 subject tables, up from 23 last year, with five subject areas ranked in the global top 100: Agriculture (20), Archaeology (49), Earth Sciences (joint 49), Development Studies (51-100) and Library and Information Management (51-100).
Reading has performed strongly in the area of Economics and Econometrics, rising to the top 150 in the world for the first time, at joint 137 out of 700 ranked globally. Business and Management Studies remains in the global top 150 for the third consecutive year (joint 131), out of 650 institutions ranked.
In the UK, Reading is the top ranked institution for Agriculture. It is also ranked at 10 in the UK for Earth Sciences and 12 in the UK for Archaeology.
QS subject area Agriculture & Forestry includes subjects taught and researched across Agriculture Policy and Development, Food and Nutritional Sciences, Biological Sciences and Geography and Environmental Sciences.
In the broad subject level rankings, Reading has remained consistent with last year, with Arts and Humanities remaining in the global top 100 (joint 92), and 21 in the UK. Other broad subject groups scores included:

Reading has also seen improvements in the areas of Computer Science and Information Systems, Law, and Politics and International Studies, which has been ranked as a subject area for first time.
The QS World University Rankings by Subject is based on measures of academic reputation, the employability of graduates as rated by major employers, and citations for published research.
